Negative. There are no uniform or equipment requirements.

High intensity conflicts usually involve conventional armies with specific uniforms. One of the challenges of low intensity conflicts is the difficulty identifying friend or foe due to the lack of distinguishable uniforms. The battle is Engaria is a low intensity conflict.

We encourage both force's leadership to establish a method of IFF as this would be an issue a real world commander would face when fighting a low intensity conflict. We believe we are promoting milsim by leaving inherent problems of warfare in the simulation rather than solving them for the participants beforehand.

 NS10 FAQ
« Result #5 on Jan 10, 2009, 9:00pm »

If I am reading this correctly, elements have the option to hire Security contractors, Medics, Drivers, and Demolitions experts.

Affirmative.

SECURITY CONTRACTORS

What do security contractors come equipped with? (type of gun, ballistic vest, amount of ammunition, grenades, etc.)

Executive Actions Group contractors generally deploy with an M-16 variant weapon. Our contractors are not required to wear body armor, though some do - often this is dependent on the nature of the contract and/or the personal preference of the individual contractor. The average ammunition loadout carried by our contractors is (12) 30rd 5.56 magazines. Our contractors generally carry (1) concussion grenade, which they are at liberty to employ whenever they deem necessary.

Is there a limit to how many can be contracted at one time?

The number of contractors that can be employed at one time is limited only by number of contractors available at any given time.

How many security contractors are available?

Potentially, up to 5 security contractors could be available at one time.

Do security contractors have any loyalties toward certain elements? Could they develop them over time?

Our contractors are professionals and will perform the tasks that they have agreed to perform when the contract is established.

Can their services be extended beyond the hour time limit in the field?

Arrangements for contract extensions should be made prior to the expiration of the initial contract.

While under contract, are the security contractors loyalties genuine?

Our contractors are professionals and will perform the tasks that they have agreed to perform when the contract is established.

Does the scope of the contractors have to be known before they accept a contract?

Affirmative.

For example:

A. I go to the security contractor and tell him that I require his services to escort a convoy from Grid G 03 to Grid Q 11. Upon completion the security contractor has fullfilled the contract and is no longer obligated to assist the element unless they purchase another contract.

- or -

B. I go to the security contractor and tell him that I require his services and his exact orders will come from the field. The security contractor continues to take orders until the contract expires (after 1 hour), at which time they are no longer obligated to assist the element.

A.

Will they fill any non-specialized role if ordered to?

Security contractors are authorized to take part in mobile or static defense/force protection.

Are they conscientious about the orders they are given? (i.e. Will they accept a mission that is certain death?)

Our contractors are professionals and will perform the tasks that they have agreed to perform when the contract is established. EAG will not establish contracts that they feel will result in the "certain death" of their contractors.

Can a security contractor refuse a prospective client? How about a client who has already paid?

EAG reserves the right to refuse a prospective client. EAG contractors are professionals and will perform the tasks that they have agreed to perform when the contract is established.

MEDICS

What do medics come equipped with? (i.e. Medical supplies, gun, vest, etc.)

All our specialized contractors are warriors first and deploy loaded out as such.

What is the duration that an element may use the services of a medical contractor?

The number of contractors that can be employed at one time is limited only by number of contractors available at any given time.

Does the medic need to be supplied with the appropriate medical supplies?

Affirmative.

Could the medic be armed and ordered to fire on opposing forces?

Medical contractors are authorized treat wounded troops and defend themselves and those under their care.

Could medics accidentally or purposely kill a wounded soldier?

Our medical contractors are professionals and would not hurt those under their care.

Can medics assist in moving a wounded soldier to the hospital?

Affirmative.

Will the medic attempt to heal wounded soldiers if they are not ordered to?

Our contractors are professionals and will perform the tasks that they have agreed to perform when the contract is established.

DRIVERS

What are drivers equipped with? (i.e. Gun, vest, etc.)

All our specialized contractors are warriors first and deploy loaded out as such.

Can they fill a combative role if needed?

Mobility contractors are authorized to transport troops and supplies and to defend themselves as necessary in the execution of their contract.

What is the duration the element may use the services of a driver?

The duration is only limited by the availability of mobility contractors at the time the contract is established and the client's resources.

If the driver is KIA, will the vehicle remain at it's current position? Can a new driver be hired to finish the job?

Negative. If the contractor or vehicle is killed, they remain until the engagement has lulled or ended then unload vehicle at death location and return to Grid Q 11.

Does the cost of the driver only for one transport (to the location and back to Grid Q 11)?

Affirmative - one pick up and one drop off.

Will the driver leave the area if they feel their life is in danger?

Our contractors are professionals and will perform the tasks that they have agreed to perform when the contract is established.

DEMOLITIONS EXPERTS

What are demolitions experts equipped with? ( i.e. Gun, vest, etc.)

All our specialized contractors are warriors first and deploy loaded out as such.

Is it required to purchase a demolitions expert to place a demolitions?

Affirmative.

Are demolitions experts needed to use grenades?

Negative.

Once the demolitions expert has placed the appropriate demolitions, will they leave the AO?

The demo contractor will leave the AO once the demolition has been detonated or when contract timeframe has expired.

Can a demolitions expert be hired to place more than 1 demolition?

Affirmative.

If a demolitions expert takes fire, will he cease his activities until the area cools down?

Our demolitions contractors are professionals and will perform the tasks that they have agreed to perform with consideration to their own safety as well as the safety of those who they are operating with.

To confirm, a demolitions expert is required in order for a client to use a grenade?

Negative.

GENERAL

Will there be any bio's provided about the contractors?

Information about our contractors can be found here:

http://www.eaghq.com/ESOGROSTER.htm

Can contractors be hired prior to initiation?

Contractor services can be secured by speaking with the EAG representative stationed at the registration desk, 0930 21 JUNE 08.

Can contractors be hired for delayed deployment?

Contractors can be hired for delayed deployment within the current evolution.

When contractor contracts have expired, do they need to be escorted off the AO?

Appreciated, but not required.

Do all contractors follow the same ROE? Are they BHC members?

Contractors operate with a slightly modified ROE that, for example, does not allow for respawn. Affirmative.

Will operational intelligence not on the website be provided freely?

Affirmative. Available operational intelligence not on the website will be provided freely.

« Result #6 on Jan 10, 2009, 8:57pm »

1. Is the the staging area a safe zone?

Affirmative.

2. What does a person do if they leave the AO for any reason during an evolution?

Report to the staging area.

3. Is camping a corpse considered an inappropriate tactic?

Negative.

4. What would happen if two operators from different elements met each other in the staging area?

Nothing.

5. As with previous operations, does the staging area have more than 1 entrance from the AO?

Affirmative.

6. Can an element confiscate/use a vehicle in the AO?

Negative.

7. What are the rules for non-BHC members?

Standard Troops: Non-Battle Honor Corps troops are killed by any hit on their person or their equipment.

Will there be any known designation between the two types?

BHC members wear their honor beads. We can have whichever has the smaller number raise their hands before we start if necessary. I know what you're getting at, but if we're working towards more realism, it's got to start with honor. That means calling yourself out when in doubt and giving the benefit of the doubt to the player you hit/thought you hit.

8. If a operator needs to remove his goggles, what does he do?

He goes to the staging area.

Where does he go?

the staging area

How does he re-enter?

He leaves the staging area.

 NS10 FAQ

1. Respawn.

After an operator is KIA and lays dead for 30 min, does he become active?

Negative, he must lay dead 30 min. then sign in at his element's CCP.

What happens if he is recovered by friendly-forces before 30 min?

Friendlies move dead or wounded to their element's CCP for automatic respawn.

Can he be recovered by enemy-forces?

The dead can not be recovered by the enemy. Enemy can search dead for intel/currency, etc, but not recover them.

The wounded could be captured and turned in for points, but not "recovered."

Is it the responsibility of the KIA operator to maintain the 30 min time?

Affirmative.

Is the "Staging Area" at Grid Q11 have a purpose for this event?

Affirmative.
EPWs are turned over here.
Contractors are hired here.

2. AO, FOB, and deployment.

Are FOB's predetermined?

Negative.

If so, do element leaders get prior knowledge of FOB locations?

Potential FOBs are outlined in OP: Stronghold

Does each element have an FOB? Or are there only 2 FOB's that will constantly be fought over?

There are no designated FOBs outside of the initial objectives of OP: Stronghold.

Does each evolution begin with a different deployment position? Is this position determined by previous evolution results?

Negative. Affirmative.

Will the initial "jump-off" points prior to the start of Evolution 1 be known by element leaders prior to arrival?

Negative.

Does the FOB/Defensive Area need to be defended? If control is lost, does the element lose a tactical advantage?

Negative. IMHO, it would be an advantage to maintain a defensive area to aid in objective retention.

Can an element change their FOB/Defensive area during an evolution?

Affirmative.

3. Missions.

Are all 3 elements provided the same operations each hour?

Affirmative. Consider that some missions may require equipment gained through achievement of earlier objectives. If your element hasn't possession of that specific equipment, a prerequisite would be to obtain that equipment.

If an operation is completed before the next one begins, what are the elements orders?

Elements are operating autonomously. Element leadership has strategic command and therefore; the authority to decide how victory will best be achieved within the bounds of the rules of engagement.

For Operation: Disconnect, does the term "enemy" mean an opposing element, or an unknown force?

Pass.

Are operations allowed to continue past the designated time frame? ( i.e. Operation: Disconnect )

Initial points are achieved by completing objectives within the outlined timeline. However, that's not to say that objectives do not retain practical value after the initial timeframe has expired. Examples include:

After OP:Stronghold a defensive area could be beneficial.
After OP:Disconnect possession of enemy comms equipment will be beneficial.
After OP:BGM control of the outlined area could be beneficial.

If not, are subsequent operations effected by the failure to accomplish a previous one? (i.e. Operation: Eavesdrop)

Affirmative.

Must all activity cease in attempts to accomplish an objective if the time allotted has passed? ( i.e. @ 1030, Operation: Stronghold is no longer compliable)

Negative. Initial points are achieved by completing objectives within the outlined timeline. However, that's not to say that objectives do not retain practical value after the initial timeframe has expired.

For Operation: Bread Truck, will element leaders get any intel on security for the transport, prior to arrival?

Only that which is developed by the elements themselves.

For Operation: Bread Truck, do IED's/Grenades disable the vehicle?

Affirmative. IEDs within 10 feet of the vehicle, grenades inside the vehicle.

Does the element have to actively attempt to transport fuel drums to their defensive area? Or can they take them elsewhere?

They can be taken anywhere within the active AO.

4. Contractors.

Are all communications between contractors initiated at Grid Q11?

Negative. All official contracts are secured at GRID Q 11.

Can contractors supporting a separate element be swayed in the field to "join the other side" and turn on those who hired them in the first place?

I would imagine that depends on the contractor.

What happens to KIA contractors?

They return to GRID Q 11 with their "specialized" equipment.

Can element medics heal contractors?

They may use designated medical supplies to treat contractors wounds.

5. Other.

Does an element have to designate a single medic?

Each element squad (alpha/bravo) including one or more BHC troops will have the option to designate one individual as the medic for the simulation.

Can an element supply their own concussion/fragmentation grenades (if approved)?

Affirmative, if approved.

Can an element supply their own IED's (if approved)?

Negative. Not this time.

What is the limit, if any, that may register for each element?

Initially, 10 - however, we will expanded elements evenly to 15, 20, etc. if necessary.

Will we know how much currency we will get

Affirmative.

and how much things will cost prior to arrival?

A general pricelist is available here: http://eagevent.proboards26.com/index.cg....read=1206105950
Exact pricing may or may not be negotiable.
